- How often do you get to experience a vacation spot that actually exceeds your expectations? This beautiful, tranquil place most certainly did that. The serene setting, the quiet sounds of nature, the views, the sunsets, the white and golden sand, the crystal clear Lake Michigan water, the stars! (I forgot how thick and beautiful they are – we could see the Milky Way!). The whole experience together helped me find my soul again. I thank you for that and for everything. - We had a simply splendid time at this beach retreat…the house itself is remarkably well appointed, very comfortable, and absolutely drenched in light and color. Its prime vistas and proximity to the glorious lake, combined with the gemlike house, made it very difficult to leave (whether for an excursion into nearby Northport/ Leland/ Suttons Bay, or leaving at the end or our stay!). The weather was just wonderful – we marveled at the brilliantly sunny skies and crisp, humidity-free breezes; pure heaven. It’s quite difficult to pinpoint our favorite attribute about the place, because we relished most every detail / element of our soothing vacation…but the nighttime s’mores and stargazing sessions by the bonfire on the beach, as well as adventures on the breathtaking, gently rippling Lake Michigan via kayak (with the dog in tow, no less!) were a couple highlights of our stay here. We also enjoyed rotating our delicious, often barbeque-aided meals between the three fabulous dining areas. Watching the exquisite sunsets on the patio was also quite lovely. - What a wonderful beach house! Very comfortable and de-stressing. Its decorated so creatively for this water/dune setting. We had fun family dinners in the sun room & (a poker night) & played games on the big table in the living room. Most days we were on the beautiful beach. You can walk quite a long way south, go out on the kayaks, or neighbor Paul would invite us to jump on the water trampoline. Best swimming ever (in my lifetime). - The one thing I like best about the place: Swimming! (Normally it must be very hot before I get wet.) Not here though! Water temp. was perfect every day! - We are soooo grateful you decided to share this beautiful beach! The Beach House is so cozy and colorful. The Beach is the best ever! We thoroughly enjoyed swimming & sunning, sunsets and bonfires. - What a perfect cottage on a gorgeous stretch of beach! It was unbelievably peaceful & quiet – exactly what we needed after a hectic summer. - Thank you for a (much needed) relaxing and fun vacation. We sold our home, baught a new home & moved this summer. Our one week of rest was Cathead Bay. The house is absolutely perfect for our family. The beach is AMAZING – we swam every day – walked the beach, climbed the dunes, kayaked – had campfires and simply enjoyed being together. - We had a wonderful time here. We went boogie boarding in the big waves and swimming in the breezy days. Exploring the towns was very fun, but playing in the beautiful beach was even better. There is a big lump of sand with seaweed on it that is the remains of our HUGE fort. We were here during the peak of the meteor shower and we saw pretty much 1 meteor per minute. Go outside at night for a minute and gaze up at the stars, hopefully you will see the amazing few we did. - I was pleased (and surprised!) that Blissy Beach was just “as advertized” on VRBO. Very Jimmy Buffet-ish! And clear and freshly painted with sharp knives and fluffy towels and views to die for! We had a constant stream of overnight guests and visitors and the design and layout of the property was perfect for both gathering and privacy. I loved that I could walk for miles along the beach and never see or meet another soul. Alone with just the wind and the water and the sand and the birds. Heaven. A special thanks to you, Brad and Linda, for letting us bring our little dogs. - Wow! Wow! Wow! What a wonderful way to spend five weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed Blissy Beach to its fullest extent. Loved the “sandbox” close to the house for “semi-supervised” playing. The beach is perfect! As is, always, Lake Michigan. Beautiful Turquoise & blue waters plus awe-inspiring sunsets that last ages…can't be more opposite than our home in New York City!
